He's kinda camera shy. Every time I would try to take a picture he would hide behind the plants. This is the best pic I could get. I had to hide and just slide my phone up and hold still until he got into a good position. It's good practice for when I get to work for National Geographic lol. He's sneaky. I love him already. Only problem is, I can't decide on a name. Any suggestions?

The Dragon Fish Without a Name
Today, I purchased a fish :) I am technically not allowed to have pets in my apartment, so instead of getting a cute little beagle puppy I settled for a Beta fish. I wanted some of those freakishly huge awesome fish you can get at the pet store but I can't have an actual tank in my apartment either (harder to hide when the landlords come over) so I settled for a little bowl. Here is my fish :) He looks like a dragon.

Freedom Comes With a Price
Filling up my gas tank: $43.00
Emission test: $25.00
Renewing my car registration: $139.00
Renewing my driver's license: $25.00
Renewing my insurance for the next six months: $655
Making my car payment: $130
Having my own car: Priceless
Sadly, all these things fall in the same month for me to do.....guess I didn't plan that out very well. Oh well, I love Blue Steel with all my heart. She is my key to freedom :) So I guess I can pay to keep her going. In case you didn't read about when I bought her, click HERE and you can read all about it :)

Hats, Hats, Nothing But Hats
I love hats. And I tend to practice retail therapy. What do these two things add up to? Me visiting www.lids.com. Yep. So I will soon be the proud new owner of these lovely hats :)
I am excited :)

Two Foh One, What A Bargain
In case whoever is reading this hasn't taken Psychology from Mr. Fong at Mountain View High School, the blog title is supposed to be read with an Asian accent.
I really got into calligraphy when I was learning about it in my History of Graphic Design class, and I went and bought a calligraphy set and everything. I tried it out, sucked at it on the first try and forgot about it until recently.
I had an idea involving Chinese characters and lyrics that embody the meaning of the character. Here are some trials I did. Just trying to feel out the idea and see what works and what doesn't before I make the large version I want to do.
This is the first one I did, you can tell cause it's kinda sloppy.
The character is Love/Affection and the lyrics are from the song Tonight by Seether.
This is the second one I did. Looks like part of the top got cut off when I scanned it. Whoops.
The character is Beauty and the lyrics are from True Colors by Cyndi Lauper.
This is the third one I did. I made it specifically for my sister Amy.
The character is Dance and the lyrics are from I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack.
I am probably going to make more in a little bit. I have to stay up till midnight so I can register for next semester. I usually stay up until two anyway so it's not a big deal.
Here is a random doodle I did of my name.
Anyways, enjoy

Art is Always the Answer
Art is the answer for me anyway. Definitely helps me cope with things. Since I was freaking out yesterday about school I decided to make something for my sister, Britt.
Voila!
It's for my cute little nephew. Britt showed me this thing on Pinterest that she liked:
So that's where it was inspired from. It was fun and I think it turned out cute. In case you couldn't tell it's just cardboard 3D letters that I painted.
Anysways, I don't have much to say tonight so peace out :)
P.S. In case you don't know what Pinterest is, check it out. It is awesome and has tons of great ideas.

There's More to Life Than Being Really, Really, Ridiculously Good Looking
Four score and seven years ago.........ok not really. Just four years ago. Four years ago I got my drivers license. On that day a dream was born. A dream of one day owning my own car and having ULTIMATE freedom. Sadly, that dream didn't come true until about a month ago. What a great day that was though :) I bought myself a 2005 Hyundai Elantra and it is the best, most expensive decision I have ever made.
I have this thing where I like to name my stuff. It started with my guitars and I guess it has progressed to my car since I finally have one. It took me a month to figure out a name that fit this perdy car but today, it finally came to me: Blue Steel. That's right. From Zoolander. Luckily, Blue Steel CAN turn left though :)
So voila! Freedom in physical form. Expensive, yet worth it. My dream finally come true. Hopefully I'll have plenty of good memories with Blue Steel. You know what they say, you never forget your first car ;)
